The table below shows the Hidden Function Settings for the FT100. The Yaesu Global column has suggested values from Yaesu to set them back to an average value should they become lost or corrupted. Radio #1 and Radio #2 are settings from radios contributed by two U.S. customers for comparison. The blank 'Your Radio' column is intended for you to print out this form and fill in with your own settings in the event that you start making changes and want to get back to your radio's original settings.
To view your hidden function settings, power up the radio while pressing A, B, and C simultaneously. Let go of all buttons and then press the FUNC key for 1/2 second. This will open up all function settings for editing, i.e., the normal ones and the hidden ones as well. If you don't see the hidden functions, you will need to scroll down past regular menu item 01 or beyond regular menu item 66 to get to them.
A word of caution is in order. If you intend to make any changes, record all the original values first. Most of these settings are unique to each radio and are determined by using alignment procedures described in the FT100 Service Manual. Also, DO NOT SCROLL THROUGH THE LIST OF ALTERNATE COUNTRY SETTINGS in F57 and F58 unless you don't mind having your radio do a complete reset where it will lose all of the VFO, memories, and regular menu settings. It's not necessary to save the setting. Just scrolling through the various country choices for settings will cause this to happen so resist the temptation to do it unless you don't mind re-entering all of your regular menu and memory settings back into the radio. [ I have received a message from a new FT100D owner recently, that scrolling through the alternate country settings did not reset his memories, so it may be dependent on the version of radio that you have.] You may check to see what your settings are for F57 and F58, but you'll wipe out other information if you try to look at other settings that are available for those functions. If you're curious, alternate settings are shown in the table below.
The reset should not affect the hidden function values but make sure to copy them down in a safe place just in case. It is basically the same as both reset procedures as stated on page 102 of the manual. If you want a printable copy of these settings, Jeff sent this information to me in Word document form.
