2007 reunion info...

I hope you are all doing well.

A tentative date for our 30th reunion was selected back in 2002 on Classmates.com which sent an email to people who are registered there informing them that our next reunion would be held August 11th, 2007. However, the reunion committee has yet to meet and so that date is still tentative. I'll make sure to post the reunion date here on the weblog on main page when the committee selects it.

Shortly after the last reunion, per Mike Laton's request, I put up a survey on the main reunion page to collect feedback from everyone to see what options would be the most popular for the next reunion. The survey collected information for a few years but then it broke. I figured out the problem and fixed it just today, so it's back up and working. You can find it here. Please put in your vote if you haven't already voted.

At the 25th reunion, Tom Crossin had graciously offered to host the next reunion at his house. I cannot fathom how difficult that would be, hosting a party that big at one's house, since our reunions have typically drawn over 100 people and it could go much higher than that. According to the survey, Tom's house seems to be the popular choice. I'm sure that it would be economical for the rest of us, but does put a rather high burden on Tom and his family. I'll give him a call and see if it's still an option. The final decision will be made by the reunion committee and they probably won't meet until sometime in October.

Similarly, the date for the reunion was also mentioned in the poll and last time the Labor Day weekend was chosen to take advantage of the 3-day weekend as a time when people may have already planned to travel home to visit with family in the Valley. But it certainly wasn't optimal for everyone. It appears that holiday weekends already have too many scheduling conflicts. So the voting is favoring a summer weekend other than a holiday weekend.
