"I cried when I had no Guccis until I met a man who had no Florsheims", If you can identify with that statement, then you know what I'm going through this week. I've only been in the Valley for a day and I already miss my cable-modem connection and web editing software. I'm relegated to using an AOL dialup connection, Notepad, and a DOS FTP window to make even the most rudimentary changes to the web pages. I think I'll wait until I get back to Colorado before trying anything more ambitious than changing the headliners on the main page.

It was about 94 degrees with fairly high humidity and a heat index of 104, but I was able to cool off by jumping in Terri's family's pool today. I always marvel at the number of swimming pools in the back yards whenever I fly over this area. Now, if I could only find some air conditioning. I did some scouting work at Victory Pig last night asking the owner if he could handle a crowd of 60 or 70 people over the course of an evening. He looked rather shocked, but I told him we wouldn't all arrive at exactly the same time, maybe over an hour or so, and he seemed to warm up to the idea. I suspect that if we can't all eat at the same time, we might be able to eat in shifts since we'll be hanging around the Golf Center/Arcade for the rest of the evening. I also tested the pizza and it's still good.
