Last week I sent out a message showing the cost of the reunion to be $50/person and I'm sure that has caused a few to wonder what you get for that much. I'm not very experienced with going to class reunions (Terri's BOR class of 1978 has never had one yet) and I can't remember what we paid 14 years ago for admission to the 11th reunion. I was curious what other class reunions cost so I looked around on the web and found sites like Greatreunions.com and Reunionsunlimited.com. If you poke around in there you'll find that the average cost is about $60-$80/person and most of those do not include an open bar. In the case of our reunion, the price includes the hall rental/dinner/open bar (which is around $38/person), and the rest is to cover items such as the DJ, mailings, door prizes, decorations and memory book. I think the planning committee did a very good job at holding down the costs and they are very concerned that the cost may be a burden for some of our class members. If you can't afford the dinner/dance, you are still welcome to attend some of the other events which are either free or pay-as-you-go.
