Hey Jay, I get sore even thinking about kick boxing, and it wouldn't be a result of being the kickee, but rather the kicker . In contrast to your weather, we've been in spring-like weather for quite some time, with the temperatures in the 60's most days for the past month. We're even getting some rain, which we needed since we've been in a 100-year drought for the past few years.

Today my friend, Don Douglas, had an article written about him in the Greeley newspaper. I met Don Douglas about 9 years ago out at the airport. He flies the same type of plane as I do and so we hit it off instantly. Now he's helping me to build another one, similar to the LongEZ, except it's a 4-place version known as the Cozy IV. I help him with his computer and various other high tech gizmos like his scanner, printer, and digital camera and he helps me out with my airplane. When I was a kid, I used to see the name "Donald Douglas" in the closing credits for the Flintstones, which was my favorite cartoon. I remember thinking, "That man has two first names that both begin with the letter 'D' ". Little did I know that some 30 years later we'd meet and become good friends. The newspaper had a photographer come over to his house and out to the airport and take lots of pictures for the article, but then published the article with no pictures , so I've included a few pictures of Don here.

Hope that everyone made it through the Easter holiday unscathed. Is spring EVER going to get here?! I'd have thought that we'd turned the corner by now. Well, I've gone and done it. I'm going to be taking kick boxing classes for the month of May. I can't wait to rediscover all of those moving parts that have disappeared over the years. I'll look forward to reading the Blogger, as I don't think I'll be able to move around for awhile (ha ha). Gosh, I hope that they have a CPR team available! Well' I guess I'll be kickin' out, now. Beats "Kickin' off", I guess! See ya!!!

Here's one for all of you church people out there. When you go to a convention or workshop where you don't know anyone, just look across the table and ask "How was your Holy Week?" I can tell you that you won't be lost for conversation for hours. It's been a Looong week, and I'm ready to hibernate until Advent! I really miss all of the ethnicity involved in our celebrations back home, but I have my own church with my own responsibilities now. I don't seem to be able to get back for any amount of worthwhile time now. It kind of made me smile during our Children's Liturgy today, when we played Allelu, and I Am the Resurrection by Ray Repp. Helen, Dorothy, et al, do you remember when we sang those in grade school? I guess I can say that you were all here with me in spirit. Easter blessings to all of my friends, and especially to the Holy Trinity tribe! (We WERE quite the bunch of indians!)

Thanks for getting the pics up Lee. Who couldn't resist that beautiful baby, he's absolutely gorgeous. As far as planning the 2007 reunion, I think we should leave all the planning up to Tom Crossin, since it is at his house, we'll give him all the current info. we have, names, addresses, etc. and Tom and his wife can do it all, sounds like a plan to me, only joking. My plan, only in the planning stages, is to have the 2007 Reunion at Tom's house, but to have it sometime in the summer, I'm suggesting planning it the same weekend that St. Hedwig's has their Bazaar, that way, it's a Kingston Bazaar and more out-of-towners would see others that they probably wouldn't see and in all probability haven't seen since school days. As I said before it's all in the planning stages, who knows, St. Hedwig's School is now closed, who's to say the Church will still be open by 2007, I hope it will, but you never know as I thought that Sacred Heart Church would be there forever, and it's not only the school that shut down but the Church is now torn down, who knew. Anyone else have any other plans, speak now???

Here is Aidan learning a new trick of removing his socks. How charming! Grandpa Jay is most certainly not slowing down. He sent me these great pictures a week ago and I'm just now getting around to posting them so I'm the one slowing down. The picture below was taken with Aidan's mom Lydia. You can click on either to get a larger image.

Karen, I can see you're up to your organizing again, trying to put something together for Easter. Maybe you guys can meet and talk about the next reunion. It's never too early to start planning. If you've been following the polls on the main page, you'll see that the winner is definitely Tom Crossin's house for a party. And the date looks like a summer weekend other than a holiday works best. Perhaps the Labor Day weekend was a problem for some whose kids were already back in school. By the time we have our next reunion 2007, some of those same kids may be all grown up and moved out, some with kids of their own !

Lee... Did you get the pictures that I sent? Karen seems to be getting a little anxious (ha ha). Happy Easter, everyone!

Sorry I haven’t written lately but life’s been a little busy these days. The weather in the Valley has been cold and warm with 70 degree weather predicted for next week, yippee. I thought by now we’d be seeing Aidan’s Easter Pic on the Weblog, but I guess Grandpa Jay is slowing down these days, maybe he’s planning an Easter Egg Hunt for Aidan. I spoke with Bee Harris and she is expected to be in the Valley during the Easter Holiday and would like to maybe have a get together, but no promises as she has a large family and it’s difficult to get away. If anyone does want to get together, please let me know, but the 1st. person that says yes also has to decide the place as Bee suggested the place we all went to on Main Street in Luzerne, but unfortunately, that Business is now closed down and she doesn’t really remember many other places and time is running out. I know of a few but I’m not too sure if anyone else would like them or not. If you don’t want to post it on the weblog, feel free to contact me at (570) 287-4598. C’mon, I know you people are reading this, where’s Homer and Ann Marie been, who knows, maybe they’ll make a surprise visit to the area, air rates are really low right now or maybe everyone just has cabin fever. You people have been slacking on this weblog, now I'm starting to sound like Sister Bertilla, that's scary.

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't written in some time, but I have been reading every few days. I can't believe you heard from Anthony Timonte, talk about a blast from the past! Hope this finds everyone well.

Hi Jay, I enjoyed your jokes and we can certainly use all the jokes we can get in these times. I also get some jokes from Diane Osolnick and Karen. Here is a very funny picture that I got as part of an email from Karen which some of you also got. I liked it because I thought it was unlikely to be a 'staged' picture. The email was entitled 'Why Men Shouldn't Babysit'. I see the nascent talent of a make-up artist in it.

On a cheery note, I received this email today:

Hi Karen,

While my wife was doing a web search of my name, this website was returned and I was suddenly taken back in time and a flood of memories washed over me like a warm summer breeze. Needless to say the reports of my death were greatly exagerated, and I never attended St. Michaels. I left Holy Trinity to attend Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA when my mother passed away in 1970. I have been living in Phoenix, AZ for the past 17 years and visit the valley quite frequently. Tell Jay Tobias that I'd love to hear from him.

Yours Truly,

Anthony Timonte.

In September's blog, Anthony was given up for dead, yet here he is very much alive and virtually reunited with his Holy Trinity friends again! His message was sent to me but was addressed to Karen since he probably knows that without Karen, we wouldn't be chatting here like this. Tony was able to confirm the story about Ms. Carr hanging him out the 3rd floor window by his feet was very true. If you want to reach him, he is at tonytimonte@cox.net.
