Merry Christmas Everyone. Thanks Lee it is nice to have a taste of some snow. We are here in St. Lucia this year. So the holiday is a tropical one. We have a beautiful tree...yes we do get pine trees here in St. Lucia. My son describes them to be more like a pine fern than a pine tree. *laughter* It's full, smells like pine and looks beautiful.

My cookies are halfway baked...the island is out of eggs completely! Can you imagine that! Someone told me the hens stopped laying. *laughter* I don't know why we're out, but I haven't seen an egg for 5 days now. So no eggs, no perogies, no more Christmas cookies *frown*

I just want to wish everyone a blessed Christmas and a joyous New Year. I pray for each of you that God will make Himself very real to all of you this coming year.

Love and God bless.

Merry Christmas to all -- Lee's pictures definitely set the mood. We will be in Pittsburgh (at home) for the holidays -- doing something a little different this year -- both sides of our families have other plans -- so we are going to host our neighbors and some of their family from Ireland for Christmas dinner -- it should be a fun day (these are the same people who had invited us to Dublin in June for a surprise birthday party

This is a panorama of Hahn's Peak, not too far from Steamboat Springs, one of my favorite places in Colorado. I like Hahn's peak not because it's tall, but because it's so symmetrical. There something surreal about this mountain peak. There was a thriving mining town at its base more than 100 years ago and was the county seat for Routt county for many years. I still remember the first time I saw it more than 20 years ago on a motorcycle trip. We rounded a turn and there it was, just standing there, seemingly in the middle of nowhere.

Here's a panoramic view of Lake John in Colorado. Terri and I stopped by here to do a little ice fishing a few weeks ago after spending a few days up in Steamboat Springs. The ice was about 4 inches thick. I expect it will be about 2 feet thick by February.
